Pairing procedures

Pairing with a card switch (EEP: F6-04-01)

  1. Put the Roller Shutter Relay Switch in « Pairing mode ».
  2. You have now 30 seconds to pair your controller by inserting or removing the card into the reader. The card movement during pairing will control the lowering of your roller shutter/awning.
  3. The module LED blinks twice in green, confirming the pairing or the roller shutter/awning is closing completely.

If you have removed the card from the reader during pairing, then the removal movement will close your roller shutter/awning and the opposite movement (insertion) will open the roller shutter/awning.

If you have inserted the card into the reader during pairing, then the insert movement will close your roller shutter/awning and the opposite movement (removal) will open the roller shutter/awning.

Pairing and use with a remote or a wall switch (EEP : F6-02-02 or F6-02-01)

To pair a remote or a wall switch, please refer to the Roller Shutter Relay Switch user guide.

Use of the remote and wall switch:

Note: the buttons of the remote work per channels (A or B).

Wall switch 1 button / Wall switch 2 buttons

Note: the 2 buttons of the wall switch work per channels (A ouB).

Opening the roller shutter/awning
Do a brief press on the button « up » you will have defined during the pairing procedure (see “add a remote/wall switch”). A new press on this button will stop the roller shutter/awning race.

Closing the roller shutter/awning
Do a brief press on the opposite button of button « up » you will have chosen during the pairing procedure (see channel A or B). A new press on this button will stop the roller shutter/awning race.

Pairing with a home automation gateway

For the pairing process of the Roller Shutter Relay Switch with the gateway, please refer to the user guide of your home automation gateway.
Below, a standard learning process:

  1. Put your gateway in learning mode
  2. Put Roller Shutter Relay Switch in « Pairing mode » (refer to the user guide). No need to select a channel, the gateway will learn both channel during the same procedure.
  3. The interface of your gateway will confirm the success of the pairing process.

Note: To unpair the Roller Shutter Relay Switch, the procedure is the same.

Advanced feature – repeater mode

The repeater mode has to be activated with the module under power supply.
When the repeater mode is activated, the Roller Shutter Relay Switch will repeat all the messages from EnOcean network, and so increase the range of equipment around it.
The repeater mode has 3 levels:

  • Level 0: repeater mode is deactivated
  • Level 1: the signal is repeated (1 jump, see figure 1)
  • Level 2: the signal is repeated (2 jumps, see figure 1)

Warning: by default during the first installation the repeater mode is at level 0.

Incrementation of the three levels for repeater mode:

Working principle for repeater mode (figure 1):

Access to repeater’s next level:

Level 0 to level 1:

  1. Do 2 short presses.
  2. The module LED blinks twice in green, confirming the activation of repeater’s next level.

Level 1 to level 2:

  1. Do 2 short presses.
  2. The module LED blinks three times in green, confirming the activation of repeater’s next level.

Level 2 to level 0 (repeater mode is deactivated):

  1. Do 2 short presses.
  2. The module LED blinks once in green, confirming the repeater’s mode deactivation.
